Imbalance of the electric car debate in opposition to soft alternatives

 

We really need to refocus the debate on the future of mobility around soft alternatives, rather than focusing exclusively on the electric car! Vehicle electrification plays an essential role in reducing carbon emissions, but it's only one piece of the puzzle.
Soft alternatives, such as cycling, walking, efficient public transport and car-sharing, offer more comprehensive solutions for relieving congestion in cities, improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion and promote a more active and healthy lifestyle.
It's not about doing away with the car, which will remain indispensable in many contexts, but by focusing on other options, we can create more sustainable urban environments, while diversifying our approach to mobility to meet everyone's needs!
